WINNER

Killing Architects (uk/nl) – www.killingarchitects.com

Alison Killing became an architect because she likes making things. She read architecture at King’s College Cambridge and Oxford Brookes and on graduating was shortlisted for the RIBA Silver Medal.

She then worked for a number of international design offices. In 2010 she started Killing Architects. Her current work is split between design and research: developing architectural designs and urban strategies, but also using film, writing and events to explore issues within the built environment.

B•OND studio is a young, dynamic architectural studio based in Milan who use their different cultural and educational backgrounds to explore the innovating ideas in the fields of urban vision, urban design, architectural design, public space design, and landscape design.

We beleive that design is able to respond to the issues of contemporary society, from a simple installation to the entire city. We pay special attention to the themes of public domain, citizen participation and sharing. We work in both the academic and professional field since we direct our theoretical research into practice.

B•OND studio is also a platform of the multi-disciplinary team with satellites of intellectuals, architects, visual designers, programmers, engineers , photographers and economists drawn into their orbit.

B•OND studio is to BOND the ideas together for the projects BEYOND the convention.
