architects VS rest of the world
Deadline: 21st October, 2016
What is architects VS rest of the world?
Architects VS rest of the world is a participatory editorial project conceived by Itinerant Office, within the cultural agenda of the Association New Generations. It investigates alternative ways to produce online content and to mix analogical and technological tools, all with the aim of anticipating future trends.
We addressed 50 architects across Europe, sending them a postcard with the question:
“What is the role of the architect in contemporary society?”
We received a very diverse set of answers, ranging from simple sketches, drawings and short quotes to more elaborate explanations.
How to involve interesting people and make them part of a new collaborative project? How do other professionals perceive architecture and the role of the architect in contemporary society?
By means of a simple postcard, this project aims at understanding how the architect’s role is changing. Simultaneously our goal is also to unveil unusual aspects and discover new actors that could have a positive influence on the design process.
Would you like to contribute with your answer? Send us your postcard!
