Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

CHYBIK + KRISTOF is an architecture and urban design practice founded in 2010 by Ondřej Chybík and Michal Krištof. Operating with 50+ team members and offices in Prague, Brno and Bratislava, the practice aims at creating bridges between private and public space, transcending generations and societal spheres.
We met while attending the 2010 Venice Biennale, and decided to work on a competition together. We didn’t win, but it was nice to hear opinions from a totally different angle. We later won a competition in Bratislava, which led us to put aside plans of joining larger companies, and start our practice together.
Four years ago, we saw an article in a local newspaper about a wine producer from the area that wanted to build a new facility. We decided to approach them and we landed the commission. In the spring of 2020 the building for the Lahofer Winery will be open to the public. We believe it’s a feature of our generation to be proactive and not just wait for a commission to come to us.
We currently have three offices, in Prague, Brno and Bratislava with a total of 50+ associated architects, from all over the world. We believe that we offer our colleagues a lot of creative freedom and organise the teams around each project, with a team leader for each. But at the same time our physical studio is also the train, as we both travel quite a lot between these three cities, coordinating projects and having meetings remotely.
We carefully observe our surroundings and also believe that many aspects of the built environment that are not currently considered “heritage” are important to preserve and display, as a means of self-reflection for the society that built them. Our challenge is to work towards this and to design within this context.
