Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

Established by Maurizio Mucciola and Maria-Chiara Piccinelli, PiM.Studio focuses on collaboration and their passion in architecture while developing projects from their studio in London. After having worked with big names in architecture, the team comes together in a studio space that is buzzing with new ideas.
Before establishing our office, we had worked on very different projects from large mixed-use developments to small community buildings or tiny temporary installations. The V&A Dundee marked a certain transition point for us. During its construction we had left our jobs at Kengo Kuma & Associates and established PiM.studio Architects in London while continuing to execute the project alongside Kengo Kuma.
We try to re-articulate the relationship between architecture, humans, and nature. Creating a more biodiverse built environment and reintroducing a degree of wildlife in our buildings and cities is possible at all scales and for all kinds of projects. We also work heavily on community-led projects. We find that the people involved are always more open to experimenting and innovation in comparison to more corporate clients.
Although we are a very small team, we all come from very big offices. Currently we share the studio with three other practices, it is important for us that the space where we work feels buzzing with life and fresh ideas. Our approach to design is based on collaboration and passion. The best proposal can come from anyone in the team and everybody is always free to pitch in.
