Fill this form to have the opportunity to join the New Generations platform: submissions will be reviewed on a daily-basis, and the most innovative practices will have the chance to be part of the media's coverage and participate in our cultural agenda, including events, research projects, workshops, exhibitions and publications.
New Generations is a European platform that investigates the changes in the architectural profession ever since the economic crisis of 2008. We analyse the most innovative emerging practices at the European level, providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge and confrontation, theory, and production.
Since 2013, we have involved more than 300 practices from more than 20 European countries in our cultural agenda, such as festivals, exhibitions, open calls, video-interviews, workshops, and experimental formats. We aim to offer a unique space where emerging architects could meet, exchange ideas, get inspired, and collaborate.

In 2019, SET Architects completed the refurbishment of an early-1900 apartment, aiming to create a dialogue between history and modernity.
The apartment, bought in 2018 by a young couple of entrepreneurs, is located in the historic center of Fondi, a small town in central Italy.
The space had fallen into disuse in the late 50s.
Halfway between Rome and Naples, this small city has experienced steady population growth since the early 2000s.
The project tried to adapt the flat to the contemporary lifestyle of the young owners through large and fluid spaces while keeping the original character of the apartment.
At the time of the purchase, the space still presented the typical twentieth century subdivision with many rooms served by a distribution corridor.
The use of natural materials, the careful study of colors and the relationship between light and shadows give life to a project with an elegant atmosphere suspended over time.
Such as wood and marble.
The leitmotif of all the intervention is the use of white paint and oak wood giving at the same time an essential and warm feeling to the domestic environment.
The purity of the rooms was therefore contaminated by a game of contrasts with original elements of the apartment.
Existing elements include Carrara marble and white lacquered wooden window frames.
Being on the top floor, various types of skylights were used to ensure natural light in all the spaces, as well as interesting plays of heights and light.
The most peculiar room of the apartment is the master bedroom, designed as an independent mini-suite, with the bed in the middle of the room.
The suite also includes a large wall-wardrobe and a walk-in shower.
